Sheila and Abaya Fashion 2008, the winners of the Crystallized Arabian Creation Award were announed on the concluding day of the show:
The 2008 Sheila and Abaya Fashion concluded on a glittering note with shows and an awards ceremony in BurJuman, a key sponsor of DSS 2008, on Monday, August 11. The evening was dominated by the CRYSTALLIZED™ Arabian Creation Award that gave out honours in two categories – ‘Best Designer’, and ‘Innovations Award’.
The ‘Innovations Award’, handed out for the most original use of CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements, was won by Arshiya Khan, a designer based in Abu Dhabi. Having taken up designing as a hobby, Arshiya says she enjoyed the contest involving numerous aspiring designers from all over UAE.
