The Christmas holidays are a great time to get stuck into some craft projects, and if you're a bit of a novice like me, you'll be looking for something that's quick and easy to do.
One of the simplest ways to customise your plain hijabs is by adding trims to the borders. You can find all sorts of trims at craft stores like
HobbyCraft and haberdashery stalls at local markets, where they are usually pretty inexpensive.
When I had a go at this, I used a plain cotton hijab from
2hijab, but you could also simply buy some fabric and hem the edges. Then all you have to do is measure out the correct length of trim for your hijab, and sew it on using a simple running stitch in a thread of a similar colour, securing it at the ends.
And the best thing is, you can add several rows of different trims, or remove them and add different ones whenever you like! Is this something you'll be trying out?
