I wore this style to uni a couple of days ago. It's similar to the
heidi braid hijab style, but a lot easier! I've used a brown bonnet cap, a
plain brown cotton hijab and a long, narrow satin scarf.
1. Place bonnet cap on head.
2. Take the narrow scarf and make one end longer than the other. Place on your head, with a bit of the cap still showing. Tie the scarf at the back and secure to the cap with two straight pins on either side.
3. Take the long end of the scarf which is hanging down your back and start twisting it tightly. Wind all the way around the head and tie the end again at the back, and pin as necessary. You should have something which looks a little like
this.
4. Take the brown hijab and make one end long than the other, place over the head, making sure that the twist is still showing. Pin under the chin and wrap around as normal as in the
basic shayla wrap. I like to make sure the short end is really short so that is doesn't show from underneath.
It may sound complicated, but it took me no more than 5 minutes to do it the first time, and it stayed in place all day long! Try it out and let me know what you think!
