Spring 2009Erdem Moralioglu always designs beautiful pieces of clothing for his RTW collections, but in my opinion, this season has been exceptional. What I loved of course, was how perfect many of them would be for hijab - from high necklines to full-length dresses, there are plenty of Muslimah style tips to pick up:
Tiers and ruffles have been featured again and again on the runways for Spring, and luckily for us usually translate into longer lengths and looser fits. This collection is about girly details - lace, florals and pastel colours. Boleros were also seen at
Chanel, and again are the perfect cover-up for maxis.
As you might have guessed, Erdem is of Turkish origin - so I really can't help but wonder if he was influenced by Tesettür fashion? Either way, I love the classy and feminine take on modest dresses he's come up with. You can read more about Erdem
