Resham Collection is a newly set-up, UK-based website selling scarves. Most of their selection consists of oversized, patterned scarves which seem to be popular with a lot of hijabis. I was recently sent the
Blue Spring Flowers and
Black Animal Print scarves to review.
The scarves arrived beautifully packed in the special
gift wrapping (which you can order as extra). They came inside a black box, wrapped in pink and black tissue paper and ribbon, and the scarves themselves are even lightly scented! Some hijab pins in an organza bag were added too:
The
Blue Spring Flowers is a casual scarf with a blue, red, yellow and white floral print with large stripes on either end. The fabric is a very thin and lightweight polyester, and measures 189cm x 76cm, which is a good size. It's really easy to wrap and not at all bulky. Although the overall design to me is a little busy and makes it look more akin to a beach sarong.
The
Black Animal Print scarf is made in a crinkled cotton and is larger in size (195cm x 110cm). It's also very soft and thin, and slightly see-through so does need folding over. It stays in place quite well and tends to puff out rather than hang, which is good if you want to create folds and volume. The print is not the most authentic version of leopard I've seen, but I do like the combination of grey and black.
Overall I thought the packaging was lovely and the website itself is really easy to use. The quality of the scarves is reasonable, though I'm not crazy about the prints of these two particular scarves.
