Construction of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro was halted after a judge ruled the county government did not give proper notice to the public.
The mosque was approved two years ago and has been the center of controversy and protests.
Chancellor Robert Corlew said Tuesday the plans to build were “void and of no effect,” but noted commissioners can resubmit for construction of the mosque.
